2020 - CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

The Truro Colchester Partnership for Economic Prosperity welcomes  nominations for our 2020 Newcomer Appreciation Award.

 

PURPOSE
To formally recognize and celebrate a newcomer employee (or self-employed newcomer) who has made outstanding contributions to the workforce and the community since making Colchester home.

 

ELIGIBILITY
Persons being nominated for this award should meet the following criteria:

 

  • Be a newcomer to the region, i.e. moved to Colchester County within the past 3 years

  • Be employed part-time or full time at a Colchester-based business. The business may be a sole proprietorship, partnership or corporation. The nominee can also be self-employed

 

A Selection Committee will review the nominations and select the recipient based on the following:

 

  • The extent to which their performance might be considered above and beyond the call of their job description.

  • Volunteering for and working on special projects.

  • The degree to which their actions have made a meaningful contribution or impact on the business and/or the community

  • The extent to which their action would be recognized and valued by their peers

  • Performing normally assigned responsibilities at an exceptional level

  • The extent to which they are generous with their time and help other new employees and team members.

 

SUBMITTING A NOMINATION
To nominate an employee for this award, please include the following:

 

  • Nomination form, including name of the nominator, mailing address, e-mail and signature.

  • Name of the nominee, contact phone number, mailing address and email address.

  • A brief (300 words maximum) description of how the individual has met the above criteria.

 

You are invited to nominate individuals now through February 14, 2020 (11:59 p.m. AST).
